Set of colour illustrations of Palaeolithic and Neolithic tools and geography
A striking and intriguing set of plates depicting Palaeolithic (old stone age) and Neolithic (new stone age) implements along with scale maps illustrating the geography of Europe during the Ice Age, during the first age of the forests and the glacial system of Lake Iseo.
These plates date from 1881, they feature light foxing and folds (to the larger plates) which really shows off the age of this wonderful set.
Recently reframed behind glass with conservation quality colour appropriate mount by a master framer this set it ready to be hung on a wall and enjoyed for many years to come.
The photographs do not do these justice, in person on the wall this collection is a real pleasure to behold, the colour of the frames, mount and plates are very complimentary indeed. A great opportunity to display your appreciation and knowledge of the prehistoric era.
